IOSH Managing Safely
The Institution of Occupational Safety and Health is a UK-based professional body, and its Managing Safely course reflects that seriousness it isn’t a one-time certificate you earn and forget about. IOSH recommends a refresher roughly every three years, which is part of why employers trust the name: it’s tied to an organization that keeps its own standard current, not a static badge nobody checks again.
The course itself teaches practical judgment, not just definitions. You come out able to walk a workplace and spot real hazards, decide what actually needs fixing first, put the right control in place, and investigate an incident properly if one happens. No prior safety background is required to start.
